readySETat JohnSarahJohn

As of yesterday (Thursday) a selection of my wares are now available at the downtown Charlottesville design studio JohnSarahJohn. JSJ are opening their doors to the public for a pop-up holiday gift shop, open Thursday through Sunday, 12-9pm, December 2nd-24th. You can find them at 422 E. Main Street, across from the Nook.

For their December pop-up shop, I’ve collaborated with JSJ on a line of soft goods, plundering their stash of amazing vintage fabrics to create:

+ scarves and cowls made from bolts of deadstock silk suit lining fabric

+ clutch purses fashioned from vintage woolens and kimono silks

+ my woolen cowls are also available in a range of men’s suiting colors, exclusive to JSJ (camel, brown, navy, charcoal, pale gray, black)

the lovely Kho, sporting a cashmere cowl

may the blogging begin!

check back from time to time, as i’ll be posting updates to the shop, new designs, the fruits of my thrift store digging, and announcements about readySET at a shop, gallery, or craft fair near you. for now, my wares include cowls fashioned from repurposed cashmere and merino sweaters, and clutches made from wool trousers and recycled kimonos…in the near future, i’ll be adding:
+ mini messenger bags (…from obis, aka kimono sashes)
+ zippered pouches (…from silk trousers)
+ totes (…from vintage pillow cases)
+ zoomorphic baby hats (…from the necks of cashmere turtle-necks)
+ felted baby booties (…from cashmere and merino remnants)
